Our new DJ Spotlight of the Week is our very own, Bradley! When he’s not DJing from 4-6PM on Friday’s, or studying Organization & Community Leadership, he works on Impact’s website as one of our Website Managers! 1. What made you decide to join Impact and become a DJ?

When I was growing up I always wanted to go into the broadcast industry. Later my goals and values lead me to social work, but when I got to college I started to volunteer at Impact just to get to live out some of my childhood dreams.

2. What has been your best on air experience?

My last shift of 2016 was a lot of fun. I did a year in review and laid out several of my very serious and intentional new year’s resolutions. My top resolution was to not lock my keys in my car, and several listeners called in with some good tips on how to not do that.

Also any time I can banter with one of my fellow DJ’s is always a good time.

3. How do you think working in radio will affect your future career and life?

I know that working as a DJ for Impact has been great for my communication skills. Being able to effectively tell a story is a transferable skill that would make anybody better in any career.

4. What is your favorite part of the station?

The atmosphere. Everybody who works and volunteers here are fun and easy to be around. I love that I’m able just to stop by the station whenever – whether I have work to do or just want to hang out.

5. If you could play an artist non-stop on the air, which would it be?

I’d love to play All-Star by Smash Mouth on loop for like 20 minutes just to see what would happen.

6. What is the best concert experience you have had? Why?

I had fun at Stoop Fest last year because I’d never really gone to any house shows and it was a totally new experience. In fact I had such a good time I decided to move to the Eastside myself.
