Michigan State University’s Department of Theatre is currently in rehearsals for Clifford Odets’ “Waiting for Lefty,” a play set during the Great Depression, focusing on cab drivers contemplating a strike. Director Rob Roznowski adds a contemporary twist with “Just Cause,” a documentary-style piece highlighting modern union movements. Both productions delve into class issues, union organizing and economic disparities, resonating strongly with today’s societal challenges. The performances run from March 26-30 in Studio 60 at the MSU Auditorium.
