Top Ten MSU Women’s Basketball Players Countdown – #10

Over the years, many Spartans have demonstrated their skills on the court. In the lead-up to the women’s basketball season, Impact Sports takes a look at the top 10 women’s basketball players in Spartan history.

Taking the No. 10 spot to start is recent MSU graduate Klarissa Bell, a 5-foot-11 guard from East Lansing. With East Lansing as her hometown, it seemed only right that she attended Michigan State and made a name for herself in the Spartan history books.

In 2010, while attending East Lansing High School, Bell was named Michigan’s Miss Basketball and the Lansing State Journal Player of the Year. She was the high school’s all-time leading scorer with 1,627 points, while also the school’s career record holder in games played (106), games started (106), free throws made (350) and offensive rebounds (337).

During her time at MSU, Bell broke many records and earned countless awards. She has appeared in 126 games while playing for the team. She averaged 6.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists. Bell is a two-time All-Big Ten (third team as a junior and an honorable mention this past season), three-time Academic All-Big Ten (2011-12, 2012-13, 2013-14), and named two-time MSU defensive player of the year at the team’s annual banquet.

Bell also led the team as a captain this past season alongside Annalise Pickrel. In MSU women’s basketball history, Bell is 14th with 126 games played, 16th with 69 careers three-pointers and 17th with 49 blocks.
