December is here, and amongst the start of the winter college sports seasons is the NCAA Men’s Soccer Tournament. Michigan State, Providence College, University of Virginia, Georgetown University, University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), Creighton University, North Carolina and UCLA remain in the NCAA tournament.
The Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals are long gone and the semifinals are now about to kick off on Nov. 14 with the No. 2 seed Ohio State Buckeyes going up against the No. 6 seed Indiana Hoosiers at 1 p.m. Later that day, the No. 1 seed Maryland Terrapins go up against No. 5 seed Michigan State Spartans at 3:40 p.m. on Big Ten Network.
Conference play and tournaments are done. The field of 68 has been selected by the NCAA committee and Friday, Nov. 14 kicks off the 2014 NCAA Women’s Soccer Tournament. For some teams it will be a long road to Boca Raton, Florida, and for some it will be an easier road.
