MSU Club Dodgeball Competes in Annual Tournament

On Sunday, November 2, an annual dodgeball tournament started by former captain Ian Childs was held in East Lansing. The premise of the tournament was to showcase good teams and encourage out-of-state teams to come play early in the season.

This year, Western Kentucky, Grand Valley, Central Michigan and DePaul University all attended the early season tournament. Each team played each other once. The Spartans were able to win two of four games. Read More…

Secret Society is back again for an eighth episode. And this week, Bradley Allen brings MSU dodgeball captains Mike Van Ermen and Colin O’Brien into the studio. Van Ermen and O’Brien share how they got their start in dodgeball and preview the upcoming NCDA Championships this weekend.

Also discussed is the dodgeball world’s love-hate relationship with the 2004 blockbuster movie, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, and of course some of Mike, Colin and Bradley’s favorite MSU moments.

Saginaw Valley Wins Michigan Dodgeball Cup, Spartans Place Third

In a tournament that produced some intense and exciting moments, Saginaw Valley had all the reason to cheer.

Going into the tournament, Saginaw Valley and Grand Valley were viewed as the top contenders for the Cup and this prediction turned out to be true. However, the underdog was able to pull out on top. Although after watching the tournament, one would be confused who the underdogs actually were.
