New Faces for Spartans Help Finish Out Blowout Against EMU

Sixty-three players played in the first half. Seven freshmen defenders played at one time.

The No. 11 ranked Spartans bounced back after their a bye week following loss in Eugene with a 73-14 dominating performance against Eastern Michigan. Connor Cook, who only attempted six passes, ended up with 83 yards and two touchdowns.  He also had a rushing touchdown of his own. Spartans Dominate Eagles, Win Convincingly

After an explosive offensive performance in the first half, Michigan State held on to their large lead, winning 73-14 against Eastern Michigan. The Spartan defense forced five turnovers while the offense ended up with 496 yards of total offense. Read More…

Offense Explosive Against EMU, Lead 49-0 at Half

It was a busy, first half 30 minutes for the Spartan offense, as they scored on nearly every possession against Eastern Michigan.

With a 49-0 score at halftime, touchdowns came from Connor Cook, Jeremy Langford, Delton Williams and R.J. Shelton on the ground.Tony Lippett had two receiving touchdowns and Tyler O’Connor hooked up with A.J. Troup on a a 21-yard touchdown pass as well. Read More…

MSU to face EMU Ready to Play and Ready to Win

Two weeks after suffering a loss at Oregon, Michigan State football will hit the field in an in-state matchup against the Eagles of Eastern Michigan University.

In his weekly press conference on Tuesday, MSU head coach Mark Dantonio emphasized that the key goal is to win the game, as well as to live up to expectations.

In preparation for the game against Eastern, Dantonio noted that MSU’s opponent in this game will not roll over despite being huge underdogs.

Way-Too-Early Predictions: Eastern Michigan (Sept. 20) and Wyoming (Sept. 27)

The Spartans face off against Eastern Michigan after a bye week and will then take on Wyoming during homecoming week. These games will wrap up the non-conference season for MSU, as Mark Dantonio hopes to earn two victories while the team builds up momentum heading into the Big Ten season.
