The ACC/Big Ten Challenge matchups were announced for the 2014 women’s basketball season last month, and the Spartans will take on Georgia Tech at home in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.

The game will take place December 4, 2014 and will be their second time meeting in program history and the second time in the Challenge.

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets might be a tough opponent for the Spartans. Although Michigan State is 4-3 all-time in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, MSU has lost each game played against Georgia Tech (2008, 2009). Georgia Tech also has a 6-1 ACC/Big Ten Challenge overall record.

The Spartans could dominate this year outside the Challenge, however. With six of their top eight scorers from last season returning and a new group of incoming freshmen, the Spartans could break their losing streak against the Yellow Jackets.
