After being defeated in the first game of the series, MSU looks to rebound from their 10-1 loss against Purdue.

The Boilermakers are on a roll with an eight-game winning streak and the Spartans have their work cut out for them.

Shanin Thomas will be a player to watch in these two upcoming games. She scored MSU’s only run in the first game against Purdue.

The Spartans will have to look out for the Boilermakers’ senior Andie Varsho who went 3-for-5 with two doubles and a home run, and freshman Katy McJunkin who went 3-for-3 with a triple in the first game of the series.

The two games will be played on Sunday at the Boilermaker Softball Complex in West Lafayette, Ind.

The first game starts at noon and the second at 2:30 p.m.
