The Detroit Lions lost a heartbreaker to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, 24-21. Fans watched in bewilderment, as the Lions gave up five turnovers, including a late interception off the hands of Calvin Johnson to seal their fate.
Michigan State’s dodgeball team hosted a six-team tournament at I.M. West last Sunday and took home the title with wins over Bowling Green, Ohio State and Siena Heights. It was a huge win for the Spartans, who had a slow start to the 2013-14 season, coming into the tournament with an 0-5 record.

Michigan State took the title in the Coaches Vs Cancer Classic in Brooklyn, New York this weekend. The Spartans defeated Virginia Tech 96-77 on Friday and Oklahoma University 87-76 on Saturday.
After pushing through a sluggish start, the Spartans defeated Rice 81-68 Saturday night The Spartans struggled in the first half after forward Annalise Pickrel was taken out of the game for picking up two early fouls. Shortly after Pickrel left the court, center Madison Williams made an appearance after missing all but three games in her three years at Michigan State due to an ACL injury.
EVANSTON, Ill. — Connor Cook threw for a career-high 293 yards and Jeremy Langford added 150 rushing yards, as Michigan State clinched the outright Legends Division title against Northwestern on Saturday.
