After three previous ACL injuries, Michigan State’s redshirt junior Madison Williams suffered another ACL tear in her right knee.

Her injury was discovered on Thursday, March 27. Surgery was performed on the same day. It could take anywhere from four to six months to recover.

The 6-foot-7 center previously tore her right ACL before the 2010-11 season and then missed all but three games in 2011-12. She missed the entire 2012-13 season with two separate ACL tears in her left knee.

Williams was able to play in 18 games this season, averaging 1.9 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in just 8.2 minutes.

She had four rebounds and four blocks in only eight minutes in Michigan State’s loss to North Carolina in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
