The Pact – #18 – 2/18/14

This week on The Pact, the panel shifts their attention away from men’s basketball and on to the women’s basketball squad. Fino, Faith and Harry dissect the Spartans’ season thus far and look ahead to the team’s next few games against Wisconsin and Minnesota.

In the second portion of the show, Fino moderates as Lou and Austin analyze the USA men’s hockey team and their chances in the Olympic tournament. The three panelists debate styles of play and give predictions on how the tournament will shake out.

The Pact – #17 – 2/10/14

Hot off National Signing Day, The Pact jumps right into the Michigan State football recruiting pool.

Fino, Austin and Lou speak with Sean Scherer of 247Sports.com about MSU’s 2014 recruiting class, highlighted by the Malik McDowell situation. Scherer shares his thoughts on where the 5-star recruit will end up. Incoming defensive end, Enoch Smith Jr., calls in to the show and says his first hello to Spartan Nation.

The Pact – 15 – 1/27/14

Spartan basketball endured a devastating, 75-80, loss Saturday to their forever rival, the University of Michigan.

The Pact – #12 – 12/30/13

2013 has been a whirlwind of a year for Impact Sports.  As one of the many firsts this year, fall marked the inaugural semester of The Pact – the only sportstalk show on FM-radio in the mid-Michigan area.

Hosted by Anthony “Fino” Serafino, the show has booked high profile guests from Lupe Izzo, to former MSU and NFL running back Todd “TJ” Duckett.

Defense Leads to Offense as Spartans Down Princeton

Spartan Hockey defeated the Princeton Tigers Friday night in a 4-1 rout.

In what coach Tom Anastos called perhaps the most physical game his team has played in thus far, the Spartans  prevailed, with two key players scoring their first goals of the year.  Left wing Ryan Keller potted his first on a backhand pass from captain Greg Wolfe at 17:30 in the second, and a point shot by defenseman Jake Chelios found the back of the net at 4:26 of the third period.

The Pact – #7 – 11/25/13

The Detroit Tigers traded Prince Fielder to the Texas Rangers Wednesday in a blockbuster move that landed Detroit star second baseman, Ian Kinsler.

Play-by-play voice of the Tigers, Dan Dickerson, calls in to comment on the trade, shares his wisdom on the 2014 lineup, and gives his impressions of Brad Ausmus as the new Detroit manager.

The Pact – #6 – 11/18/13

MSU Football clinched at least a share of the Big Ten Legends Division title on Saturday against the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Quarterback Connor Cook and the Spartans finally defeated Nebraska, for their first win ever in the Boneyard.  The panel discusses the big win, MSU’s Big Ten title hopes, and the team’s strengths and weaknesses.

The Pact – #5 – 11/11/13

MSU women’s field hockey took home the Big Ten Championship Sunday and claimed a position in the NCAA Tournament.

Junior forward Allie Ahern visits the show and discusses her team’s success to this point and previews the NCAA tournament, which the Spartans begin Wednesday, in East Lansing.

Lupe Izzo, wife of MSU Head Basketball Coach Tom Izzo, gives her opinion of this year’s Spartan Squad, provides her insight on the Spartan head coach, and shares some personal stories from her years in the MSU family.
