Spartans Remain on the Road to Take on No. 22 Cornhuskers

The No. 24 Spartans are looking to win their sixth-straight Big Ten road game in Lincoln, Neb. against the No. 22 Cornhuskers tomorrow.

When the teams last met on Jan. 9 in East Lansing, the Spartans never trailed and won the game 70-57. They were able to hold the Huskers to season lows in points and field goal percentage (30.8 percent).

Annalise Pickrel and Aerial Powers both scored 17 points and posted double-doubles against Nebraska. Becca Mills and Tori Jankoska were the other Spartans in double figures, scoring 10 points each.

The Huskers are on a three-game winning streak. Jordan Hooper led Nebraska with 21 points and eight rebounds last time she was at the Breslin Center. She currently averages 19.4 points a game, third in the Big Ten.

This top-25 battle is Saturday and tip-off is set for 3 p.m.
