Breaking: Bullough suspended in week leading up to Rose Bowl

Mark Dantonio announced early Thursday morning that senior linebacker Max Bullough would be suspended from next Wednesday’s Rose Bowl Game.

According to Dantonio, Bullough violated team rules that led to his suspension. In a statement released just after midnight, “it is extremely disapointing for all parties involved,” Dantonio said.

He added that the team will “close ranks” in the lead up to the Rose Bowl next week.

Bullough is a two-time team captain and has been named to the All-American third team and the All-Big Ten first team.

The specifics of Bullough’s suspension have not been released to the public.

“Max will forever remain a Spartan and a valued member in this team’s achievements,” Dantonio said.

The Spartans will face off against the Stanford Cardinals on New Year’s Day in Pasadena California.
