MSU Quarterback Position Still in Question

During Football Media Day at Michigan State University on August 5, the coveted starting quarterback position was still in question.

After starting all 13 games last season, fifth-year senior Andrew Maxwell no longer appears to be a shoe-in this season after Connor Cook proved he is a strong candidate in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl.

Natively Foreign – Contemplating Minds

Finally, Allan speaks with Paul Wozniak and Erin Buitendrop about the Pulsar Awards and Lansing Theatre.

The Mynabirds – Disarm

Hailing from Omaha, Nebraska, singer-songwriter Laura Burhenn and company make The Mynabirds. This is what you want from female-front indie pop: instrumentals that aren’t cliche, a sweet voice that can be as sad as it can be quirky, and (most importantly) control over “cutesy” elements put into it. The result is some good, unapologetic indie pop that isn’t afraid to tell the listener that females can be sweet and badass at the same time.
