Impact News: Community Portrait

MSU’s Broad Art Museum is opening this weekend and with it an exhibit by German artist Jochen Gerz . The project, titled ” The Gift: Lansing, Michigan,” invites  community members to have their portraits taken, becoming part of the museum’s art collection. Impact’s Emanuele Berry had trouble keeping a straight face during her photo session.

Impact Reporter Micaela Colonna discusses Republicans on campus. Impact’s Gabby Saldivia reports on international students that can’t vote. MSU’s Spartan Sur is on to talk about Hindi-Fusion a capella. Carmen Scruggs, an MSU Reporter, gives MSU students’ advice for the future president. We call Abbie Newton and get the scoop on an Election Day Watch Party in Akers Hall. Impact Reporter Gabby Saldivia reports on who MSU students would consider their ideal candidate. Impact’s Carmen Scruggs discusses which presidential candidates are the most attractive. Impact Reporter Thea Card reports on political internet memes. Finally, Anjana Schoreder, another Impact Reporter, finds out how students would score the election if they got the chance.

Spartan Sportswrap 11/5/12

Alex talks about Michigan States recent loss to Nebraska. Caller Ryan phones in his opinions about the outlook for the  Spartan’s season. Alex also discusses MSU basketball and the direction this years season could head in. David joins us for the second half of the show to help talk about the Detroit Lions as well as some potential off season moves for the Detroit Tigers.
