Tonight on the first half of the show, Exposure producer Gabriela Saldivia fills in for Abbie Newton with an environmental report regarding May being Bicycle to Work month. The groups in the area that promote this event such as the Be Spartan Green campaign, the Mid-Michigan Environmental Action Council and MSU Bikes came into the studio to chat about it. Coconut Records – Microphone

Actor/Musician Jason Schwartzman has had a foot in many musical projects during his expansive film career (remember that song “California” from The OC?), the most notable being his solo side-project Coconut Records. Started in 2006, Schwartzman makes infectious indie pop tunes that just make you want to dance. Though he hasn’t had a release since 2009, there are rumors of another album coming soon. Closure In Moscow – Kissing Cousins

Progressive Rock band Closure In Moscow formed in 2006 in Melbourne, Australia. Described as a “catchy, yet melodic brand of progressive, avant-garde rock,” the band creates a heavy-sounding, quickly-paced sound often compared to early Saosin, Chiodos, or Coheed and Cambria. The band has been touted for their technical and complex guitar and drums work, with vocals flowing airily overhead. With only one EP and one album under their belt (another is expected later this year), Closure In Moscow have nowhere to go but up.
