Adam West Is Coming To Michigan State!

You’ve heard him on Family Guy. You’ve seen him starring in the hit TV series Batman. Now,  get behind the scenes and meet the real Adam West! Mayor West is coming to East Lansing on August 26th to hangout at Spartan Bookstore from noon to 2pm to sign autographs, and will be at the MSU Union Ballroom at 7pm for a special behind-the-scenes interview, hosted by Impact 89FM! Both events are free and open to the public, so come by and meet the original Caped Crusader in person!

Hop Along – Tibetan Pop Stars

From Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Hop Along present a refreshingly simple style of music that cuts the frills and gets right to the point. With vocals and lyrics akin to a girl version of The Front Bottoms, the music can sometimes get a little awkward, but the groove of the instrumentation keeps it flowing. These guys are just getting up and out there with their first release, so there are only good things to come. Gogol Bordello – Start Wearing Purple

Most of us are aware now of the eccentric stylings of Gogol Bordello. Even though they sound like they’re straight out of eastern Europe, their music is perfectly representative of where they actually come from: New York City. The diversity of the lower east side of Manhattan shines through the music in every crash, clang, twink, and twog of a multitude of instrumentation. “Polka meets ska meets blues meets indie” might sound like a weird statement, but if you know Gogol Bordello, it doesn’t seem as strange.
