For Sean Anderson, otherwise known as “Big Sean,” Common Ground in Lansing was his homecoming. He cherished all of the moments and people attending the concert.

Exposure 6.03.14: Equality

For the Equality episode of Exposure, host Steven Rich brings forward a wide range of issues.  Zach Wahls, the Co-Founder of Scouts for Equality, a gay-rights scouting organization, called in to discuss the impact of the Boy Scouts of America’s policy on gay members and leaders. MSU Professor and esteemed author, Julia Grant sat down to discuss her new book, The Boy Problem, and the challenges that poor and minority boys face in education. Lastly, Steven was joined by a panel of fellow students and faculty to discuss trace racial equality history at MSU, as well as the achievements and challenges that today’s minority students face.

MSU Students produce documentary that brings awareness to sexual assault

Every two minutes, a person is sexually assaulted in the United States. A group of student documentary film makers at Michigan State took this fact to heart and created a documentary about sexual assault, called Every Two Minutes. Student Director Kirk Mason and student Producer Laura Swanson visited the studio to talk to Exposure host Abbie Newton about the film. Every Two Minutes will premiere on Thursday, April 24 at Studio C! in Okemos, Michigan at 7 p.m.
