The Summer Solstice Jazz Festival is heating up East Lansing and on the show is a panel of Jazz enthusiasts. Festival Director Benjamin Hall, bass player and Art Director Rodney Whitaker, jazz singer Mardra Thomas, writer for City Pulse Larry Cosentino, and Lois Mummaw of the Jazz festival. Also on the show Ody Norkin, V.P. of the Michigan Flyer and David Pole bring up a grant to be reconsidered for expanding the Michigan Flyer and its reach.
This week, MSU student and local scout Chris LaMarche talks with Berl about the recent topic of homosexuality in the Boy Scouts and jazz musician Randy Gelispie joins us in studio alongside City Pulse writer Larry Cosentino to talk about his life and experience as a jazz performer. Later we hear an interview covering REOtown amongst some of the local politicians.
