S6E9: It’s Up To Us

This week on The Undercurrent, host Cole Tunningley brings you stories that show the importance of taking action within one’s community.

First is a piece about healthcare. Many Americans do not have access, do not know how to get it, and do not know how to bring about change. Michigan State Representative, Tom Cochran, says that communicating with representatives actually makes a difference.

Lastly, a story about a hate crime that happened on July 5th in Lansing. A Hispanic man was beaten and left with a note that explicitly referenced his ethnicity. Reporter Cole Tunningley covers the city’s response to this tragedy.
