S6E2: Ramadan


This week on The Undercurrent, host Naina Rao brings diverse narratives that explains what Ramadan is.

We first hear the voice of America Yahya – MSU student and Detroit native illustrating her personal experience with Ramadan. 

Then reporter Sami Luke captures a man’s struggle, fasting for 19 hours a day while working at a restaurant.

Lastly, reporter and news director Cole Tunningley paid a visit to the East Lansing Islamic Center to learn more about the practices carried out during the holy month.
