This week on Impact Exposure Emily talks the Great Lakes Folk Festival  with Lara Helou and musician Steven Greenman. Sarna Salzman discusses the Great Lakes Bioneers.  MSU research students  discuss  a study on species ability  to become altruistic. This weeks Michigan Storytelling segment features Tom Springer.

Exposure 8/2/11

This week on Exposure hear a live performance  from musician  and producer Ben Rivet.  The Impacts own  “Big” Ben Hall joins and Jazz musician Dr. E  to talk Lansing Jazz fest.  Listen to a feature on MSU’s new local food program that lets people know more about their food through the use of smart phones. Learn about a new way to exercise with EcoTrek Fitness. Patty Birkholz on the Great Lakes Compact. This weeks Michigan  storytelling segment features  Steve Amick.

Exposure 7/19/11

This week Emily talks about  the healing powers of tea with the owners of Wanderer’s Tea House. Hear a feature on a Detroit artist who is trying to revitalize the motor city through public art.  Hear a conversation with a Ariniko O’Meara who plans to walk every single street in  Lansing and blog about it. This weeks Michigan Storytelling segment features  Author Bonnie Jo Campbell.

Exposure 7/12/11

This week on Exposure  Nathaniel McClure and Adam Radamacher explain MSU’s involvement in   the “Man vs. Wild” video-game. Emily talks with the owners of  Lansing’s new mobile, local and organic food vendor: Trailer Park’d.  The  American Shakespeare collective, Mid-Michigan’s newest professional theater. Local MTVU best music on campus artist , Chip Christy. This week’s Michigan Storytelling segment features Joesph Williams.

Exposure 6/21/11

Emily talks with  Kyle and Greg Benson Rock N Brew festival. The Band  Billiards Music preforms. Emily discusses Old Town Scrapfest with David Such. Emily interviews  the director of Lemonade Detroit Erik Proulx.  Hear a story that asks the question: “What is art ?” This weeks Michigan storytelling segment features  Will Jones.

Exposure 6/7/11

Emanuele Berry subs for Emily Fox. She talks traditional Indian dance with MSU Student Shreelina Gsosh. Emily Fox with local artist Sam Corbin, and a story about Music collectives in Michigan.  Also, Emanuele speaks with two MSU students who are canoeing the entire Mississippi River. The Michigan Storytelling segment this week features Rose Cooper sharing an original poem.

Exposure 5/31/11

This week features  Michigan singer songwriter Jill Jack. Rex LaMore, Megan VanDyke, Amber Peruki,  and Leslie Donaldson  tell us why  exposure to arts spurs economic activity. Brendan Dwyer talks about  Tourist in Your Town. Brittney Hoszkiw of the Old Town commercial association  talks about  the Great America Main Street Award. This week’s Michigan Storytelling segment features Author of Reimagining Detroit John Gallagher.

Exposure 5/24/11

Emily talks with  NBC correspondent and MSU alum Chris Hansen.  CNBC blogger Christina Cheddar Beck talks summer vacation without breaking the bank. MSU student  Erica Shekell shares her experience re-enacting the “Freedom Rides.”
TedxLansing speakers David Hornak  and Andrea Collier. Exposure correspondent  Emanuele Berry shares a story about Lansing Eastern High School’s IB program.

Tonight from 7-8 hear an interview with MSU alum and NBC correspondent, Chris Hansen. Also, hear an MSU’s student’s 10 day journey on the Freedom Ride, a 50 year anniversary commemoration of the civil rights movement.
