We wrap up Common Ground Music Festival with an audio diary from Impact’s Miguel Martinez. Music artist ZZ Ward talks about her music and her inspiration. Common Ground Marketing Director Jenna Meyer also joins Exposure. Later on the show, Host Abbie Newton speaks with Michigan State University professor Troy Hale about a weather balloon he launched in space. Lastly, MSU Salsa Club member Zac Tomczyk teaches us the steps behind the passionate Salsa dance.

ASMSU moves funds on campus after long battle with university

ASMSU, the Associated Students of Michigan State University, have been in a long battle with the university regarding their operating funds. The funds were located off campus, but were moved on campus on July 1 after demands from the university. Impact’s Miguel Martinez talks with Vice President of Internal Affairs Teresa Bitner about the conflict.

WKAR Station Manager Susie Elkins and Backstage Pass Producer Tim Zeko share information about opening the recording of Backstage Pass to the public. The East Lansing Summer Solstice Jazz Festival Coordinator, Benjamin Hall, and Education Stage Intern Linnea Jimison talk about this weekend’s festival. Later, international Jazz artist Cyrille Aimee comes on the show and shares her story and her jazz music. To end the show, Abbie taste tests the Signature Smoked Cheddar Cheeseburger from the Michigan State University Eat at State Food Truck and she talks to Paul Starr about Lansing Beer Week, which is from June 23 to June 29.

Michigan State food truck wins ‘Best Local Food Recipe’ for Signature Smoked Cheddar Cheese Burger

The Eat At State food truck at Michigan State University has an award-winning cheeseburger on its menu. The Signature Smoked Cheddar Cheese Burger was named the “Best Local Food Recipe” in the nation by the National Association of College & University Food Services. Impact’s Abbie Newton met up with Chef Kurt Kwiatkowski to witness the burger being made and give it a taste.
