Michigan State food truck wins ‘Best Local Food Recipe’ for Signature Smoked Cheddar Cheese Burger

The Eat At State food truck at Michigan State University has an award-winning cheeseburger on its menu. The Signature Smoked Cheddar Cheese Burger was named the “Best Local Food Recipe” in the nation by the National Association of College & University Food Services. Impact’s Abbie Newton met up with Chef Kurt Kwiatkowski to witness the burger being made and give it a taste.

Michigan State University Associate Professor in Psychology Devin McAuley and Department of Psychology Chair Juli Wade talk about how Australian songbirds are broadening research on stuttering in humans. Also on the show, Spartan alumni Arro Verse speaks about her new song, “Marry Me” and her life as a Los Angeles independent artist. Lastly, former Marine sniper and now Michigan State student, Logan Stark, chats about his documentary film and experience in the military.

Student Organic Farm expects birth of Spartan piglets

There will be new members of the Michigan State family very soon. Two pigs at MSU’s Student Organic Farm are expecting to give birth to the youngest Spartans piglets in May. The first ever Global Day of Service brings Spartans together worldwide

On April 13th the MSU Alumni Association hosted its first Spartan Global Day of Service encouraging alumni to give back to their communities. With projects ranging from Lansing to Beijing, the Day of Service was the beginning of a renewed Spartan commitment to give back. Steven Rich reports.
