Talented Cass Tech QB commits to Spartans

The University of Michigan always has an overwhelming stronghold on the Cass Tech-to-Michigan pipeline, until the month of August rolled around.

The Spartans have received their first, and perhaps most important official verbal commitment from the class of 2015, junior Detroit Cass Tech “Technician” Quarterback, Jayru Campbell.

During Football Media Day at Michigan State University on August 5, the coveted starting quarterback position was still in question.

After starting all 13 games last season, fifth-year senior Andrew Maxwell no longer appears to be a shoe-in this season after Connor Cook proved he is a strong candidate in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl.
