88th Academy Award Winners in Music

2016 brings about the 88th annual Academy Awards. It’s been a tumultuous year for award shows. From Leonardo DiCaprio finally winning an oscar, ending the long-standing meme that spawned as he struggled to win, to #OscarsSoWhite trending among Black Lives Matter leaders as well as the general public, the Academy Awards is no exception.

The Academy Awards are about movies, so it’s no surprise that the most cared about categories involve “Best Picture” and “Best Actor.” But, here at Impact 89fm, we care about music. Below are the categories that let us see the music industry at work in the film industry:
