I am not a music snob. I’m also not funny on the internet.
Here is my top 10 albums of 2013 list.

#1 The Speed of Things by Dale Earnhardt Jr Jr
One time during their set at CMJ, half of the Dale duo (Daniel Zott) jumped into the crowd on Jack Burk and I. So we danced the night away (SEE PHOTO) Now I’m super biased but this is my list so I CAN DO WHAT I WANT.

#2 Modern Vampires of the City by Vampire Weekend
If you’ve ever been to New York City, you will understand.

#3 Hummingbird by Local Natives
Go see them live. Your world will be turned into a dreamland filled with lightbulbs swaying from the ceiling.

#4 Moon Tides by Pure Bathing Culture
They remind me of dreamier Fleetwood Mac and because of that I have not stopped listening to this album.

#5 Woman by Rhye
Sometimes I try to justify music as “sad music” or “happy music”. But this album is just every minute of every day kind of music.

#6 Talon of the Hawk by The Front Bottoms
Because who doesn’t extremely relate to/scream the line “You said hey man I love you but no f•cking way” from the song Twin Size Mattress

#7 II by Unknown Mortal Orchestra
All I can say is this music is beautiful

#8 Days are Gone by Haim & The Bones Of What You Believe by CHVRCHES
This is a tie for me. Pop music will never die.

#9 You’re Always on my Mind by A Great Big Pile of Leaves
Thanks a lot, Kyle. You got me hooked and now I can’t stop humming the opening of Snack Attack.

#10 AM by Arctic Monkeys
No explanation needed.

Honorable Mention:
Eternity of Dimming by Frontier Ruckus
A local treasure and CD staple in my car. The album came out in very early 2013 but still holds a very dear spot in my heart.
