Last week, Impact received nominations from the College Media Journal for their Station Of The Year and Most Creative Programming awards. The long-running college music publication holds the College Radio Awards annually, in addition to hosting prominent music events and tours.
All voting will occur live at the CMJ Music Marathon in New York City, which starts Tuesday, October 15th. CMJ will announce the winners on Thursday, October 17th at 4pm. Though only those with CMJ badges vote on nominees, Impact encourages Spartans and the Lansing community to show their support any way they can.
Also in contention for these awards are the University of Minnesota’s KUOM “Radio K,” Cayuga Community College’s WDWN, Georgia State University’s WRAS “Album 88,” Seton Hall’s WSOU “Pirate Radio,” and Boston University’s WTBU “The Beat.”
Last year, CMJ nominated Impact for Station of the Year in the College Radio Awards. WTBU “The Beat” won the category.
