The Evens – King of Kings

Ever heard of Ian MacKaye? Fugazi? Minor Threat? If you have, then you already know how awesome The Evens must be. Consisting of Ian MacKaye and Amy Farina (formerly of The Warmers), The Evens have been making music since 2001 during the on-again-off-again period of Fugazi’s career. A minimalist, indie rock duo, The Washington Post was bold enough to call them “what happens to post-hardcore when it becomes post-post-hardcore.” If you want to know what that might mean, check out The Evens’ song “King of KIngs” off their 2011 album The Odds below.
