Long Island’s The Republic of Wolves seem to be one of those bands that gets a lot of media buzz, but just can’t seem to garner the attention of fans. With a heavy, downtrodden rock sound, these guys often get compared to Devil and God-era Brand New, and with good reason. The two bands may sound like brothers separated at birth, but The Republic of Wolves brings with them a sense of grace that Brand New seems to lack (no offense hardcore fans). With only two EPs and one full-length, The Republic of Wolves are sure to be doing great things in music. Check out “Oarsman” off their debut LP Varuna below.
