EAST LANSING — It was announced Tuesday that Michigan State junior forward Thomas Kithier would be entering the transfer portal. The move comes just a day after junior forward Aaron Henry declared for the 2021 NBA Draft.

Kithier is now the third player from last season’s roster to enter the transfer portal, following guards Rocket Watts and Jack Hoiberg.

Kithier averaged 2.4 points per game last season, while also averaging 2.5 rebounds and 0.7 assists. His best performances came during his sophomore campaign, where he averaged 3.1 points, 3.2 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game.

Kithier was a part of the Final Four team as a freshman. Kithier isn’t new to this whole transfer thing. He played his high school basketball at Dakota High School (Macomb) before transferring to Clarkston High School (Clarkston) for his senior season, where he was declared ineligible to play.

Kithier, a former three-star recruit, will now look for a fresh start in a city other than East Lansing.
