Spartans announce first half of 2020-21 hockey schedule

EAST LANSING- Earlier today, Michigan State announced dates and opponents for the first half of the 2020-21 hockey season. No start times have been announced for any of the games.

The Spartans will open up the season at home against Arizona State on Nov. 19 and again on Nov. 20. The rest of their opponents for the remainder of 2020 are Ohio State (away), Minnesota (home), Wisconsin (home), and Notre Dame (away). 

MSU will square off against Ohio State on Nov. 28-29, Minnesota on Dec. 3-4, Wisconsin on Dec. 8-9 and Notre Dame on Dec. 19-20.

The Spartans will play Minnesota and Wisconsin at home on back-to-back series, but the four games against the two opponents will all be played within a seven-day span.

The early schedule release means that Michigan State’s opponents in the second half of the year in 2021 will be against Michigan (four games), Ohio State (two games at home), Arizona State (two games at home), Wisconsin (two games away), Minnesota (two games away), Penn State (four games), and Notre Dame (two games at home).

Following the 24 conference games plus the four home games against Arizona State, the schedule will conclude on March 18-20 with the Big Ten Tournament.
