MCAN is an organization working to increase college readiness, participation, and completion in Michigan, particularly among low-income students, first-generation college-going students, and students of color. I spoke with Ryan Fewins-Bliss, the executive director, about what MCAN is, what their goal is for students in Michigan who are looking to go on to college, what they are doing to achieve that goal, and college advisor recruitment!
