Spartans bolster 2021 recruiting class, lock in 3-star Tyson Watson

EAST LANSING — After nabbing three-star defensive tackle Derrick Harmon on April 15, Mel Tucker and company were able to add more defensive line help in the form of three-star defensive end Tyson Watson.  

According to 247Sports.com, Watson, who hails from Warren Mott and stands at 6-foot-6, is ranked as the 30th best prospect in the state of Michigan and the 57th best strong-side defensive end prospect in the nation.  

Watson announced his future intentions on Twitter early Friday afternoon.

With the commitment of Watson, the Green and White currently have five commitments for the 2021 recruiting class.

In addition to being offered by Michigan State, Watson also held offers from Indiana, Tennessee, Iowa State and Toledo.
