Powers and Jankoska Lead Rout of Bearcats


Better weather, same result.

The newly ranked No. 20 MSU women’s basketball team easily handled Cincinnati in their first game of the Junkanoo Jam in the Bahamas today winning 103-63. This win moves them to 4-0 on the season.

In her second game back off the bench, redshirt junior Aerial Powers scored 22 points to go with six rebounds and four assists. However, Powers was not the only one scoring as junior guard Tori Jankoska, fresh off scoring 1,000 career points, scored 30 of her own.

This game was the team’s first time reaching 100 points since 2013.

Their next game is against No. 5 ranked Baylor tomorrow at 5:45 p.m..
