College Park, Md. – Three Michael Geiger field goals were all that the Spartans could put on the board until late in the second quarter at Maryland.  No. 12 MSU took a 16-7 lead with a Jeremy Langford touchdown run with two minutes to play in the half. Geiger’s field goals were for 22, 34 and 35 yards.

Maryland quarterback C.J. Brown has completed 7 of his 16 passes, including one touchdown to wide receiver Daniel Adams.

Kurtis Drummond and Darian Hicks had interceptions in the half for MSU and Aaron Burbridge recovered a Maryland muffed punt.  Offensively, Connor Cook has thrown for 194 yards and Jeremy Langford has rushed for 39 yards and one touchdown.
