Offensive Tackle Picks Spartans

Michigan State picked up their latest commitment of the 2015 class, as offensive tackle Noah Listermann chose the Spartans on Sunday over other offers which include Cincinnati, Louisville, and Wisconsin.

Listermann, a 6-foot-7 293-pounder, goes to Winton Woods High School in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Rivals.com ranks Listermann as a three-star recruit, the 28th ranked recruit in the state of Ohio, and the 58th ranked offensive tackle in the nation.

The Ohio native was in East Lansing for an unofficial visit this past weekend and his commitment on Sunday did not come as much of a surprise.

“I’ve always been a big fan of Michigan State,” Listermann told Sean Scherer of 24/7 Sports.

“Since my sophomore season I’ve always enjoyed watching them. I’ve always enjoyed going up there because you can just feel the energy when you’re there. It’s just the coaches there. From the first time meeting coach D, I could tell how genuine he was. All the coaches and people up there are just so genuine at Michigan State. It’s just a family thing and that’s what I was looking for in where I wanted to go.”

Listermann joins Kyonta Stallworth as the second offensive lineman in the 2015 class, and is the fifth overall member of the class.
