Men’s Lacrosse Takes on Minnesota-Duluth

The MSU men’s lacrosse team will play an out-of-conference game against Minnesota-Duluth of the Upper Midwest Lacrosse Conference in East Lansing on Sunday.

The Spartans are on a six-game win streak, while Minnesota-Duluth had its 3-game streak broken by Davenport in a 12-11 loss on Friday.

Minnesota-Duluth comes into the matchup with a 4-3 record, going 2-0 in division play. MSU sports an 8-2 overall record and 4-0 division record.

The two teams last played in 2013, with MSU coming out on top with a 12-8 victory.

Senior captain Justin Vossen leads the Bulldogs with 19 points, tallying eight goals and eleven assists. Jacob Heppner, a sophomore attackman for Minnesota-Duluth, has put up nine goals in the past four games.

MSU senior attackman Mitchell Hall will look to push his streak of 2-plus goals a games to eight straight.

The game will be played at Ralph Young Field at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday.
