Center Madison Williams feels motivated when people that do not know the game recognize her difference on the floor.

But her focus is to get back into shape.

“I’m embarrassed that I’m so tired,” Williams said.

With Jasmine Hines is back and healthy, Merchant has been able to sub them back and forth allowing Williams to get some rest.  Strategically using them as one person, and this gives Williams confidence.

“We have to keep playing together,” Williams said.

The Big Ten season is different and the teams will be more competitive; Williams is excited and looking forward to it.

Williams She also added that as a team, they must keep the defense up and continue to play the Michigan State brand of defense.

MSU is not ranked going into the Big Ten season, but Williams is glad they are unranked and wants to fight for a title to prove voters wrong.

“I want to get back to earning our name,” Williams said.
