Michigan-Made Music | “Life Must Go On” by Quinn XCII

Mikael Temrowski is a Detroit-born singer and songwriter most commonly known by his stage name of Quinn XCII, which stands for “Quit Unless Instincts are Never Neglected” paired with the roman numeral for the year he was born, 92. This Michigan State University grad is mostly commonly known for “Straightjacket” from his debut album The Story of Us.  Quinn XCII always simultaneously mixes pop, electronic and hip hop sounds into one track, which is exactly what he has done with his newest catchy hit.

“Life Must Go On” is a single that really speaks to making the most of what you have and living your life to the fullest. Quinn XCII sings about being in the moment, whether you’re happy or sad because life moves so quickly, “‘one blink, then it’s all gone’.” This original song has upbeat sounds that won’t fail to put you in a good mood or inspire you to push through hard times. It was also produced alongside music artist, Jon Bellion, who even has some sneak vocals in there. Plus, the soulful tune is paired with a heart touching official music video of Quinn XCII traveling across the country to give his biggest fans the first listen to his second studio album From Michigan with Love that dropped on February 15.

Also be sure to catch Quinn XCII on his tour that just kicked off this month (you can grab tickets here).
