Nearly 7,000 fans found their way to Cooley Law School Stadium on Tuesday night to see the 11th Annual Crosstown Showdown between the Lansing Lugnuts and the Michigan State baseball team.

As they have many times in the past (9-of-11, to be exact), the Lugnuts had their way with the Spartans, grinding out a 5-1 victory in a game that did not see a lot of offense fo MSU. Prior to the game, a home run derby was held which saw freshman slugger and St. Johns resident Adam Proctor take home the crown.

A great time was had by all at this annual celebration of baseball, right here in the Lansing community.
