In honor of Neutral Milk Hotel’s current North American tour, “In The Aeroplane over the Sea”, is a song reminiscent of grass stains, cloudy afternoons and bliss. However, the album is not all upbeat and positive.
Jeff Mangum, frontman of the group, explains that he was inspired by the diary of Anne Frank. “In The Aeroplane over the Sea” is a sunny track on an otherwise dark and surrealist record. Give it a listen if you are into piercing and melodic vocals paired with intricate lyricism.
