About the Writers
Zac Slowik
Zac is a senior at MSU, majoring in journalism and minoring in journalism broadcasting. He currently serves as the News Director while announcing football games and Co-hosting the Green and White Report. Zac began as a sports and news volunteer at Impact in 2020, before being hired as the News Editorial Assistant in 2021.
Matt Merrifield
Matt is a sophomore double majoring in social relations & policy and journalism. He is the producer of the Green & White Report and a women’s basketball beat reporter. He previously covered baseball for impact.
Zach Surdenik, Sports Broadcast Director
Zach is a junior football broadcaster and the current Sports Broadcast Director at Impact. He has previously covered women's basketball and baseball for Impact in addition to football. He has also called numerous sports for B1G+ on campus.
Jay DeCoster
Jay is a junior communications major and current men's and women's soccer beat reporter for the Impact. He is a native of Chicago, Illinois and wants to become a sportswriter professionally after college.
